Viðtal við Jacques hjá HDM

Hér er viðtal sem við tókum við Jacques Fournier hjá hollenska liðinu HDM. Það er á engilsaxnesku en við vonum að sem flestir skilji það.

1. How long has your team been playing floorball?
The club was originally founded somewhere in the year 2000 and was named HSK (Haagse Straathockey Klub).

2. What do the letters HDM stand for?
HDM is a field hockey club founded in 1908. The letters stand for Haagsche Delftsche mixed. Thus, a mix of players from The Hague and Delft, a student town. Two years ago, HSK joined HDM.

3. How many players are in your club?
Around 50 players, three men teams and one women team.

4. How many foreigners are in your team? Where are they from?
Hum, wrong question. There are only 4 dutch, the other players are from Finland, Sweden, Canada, France and Switzerland.

5. On your web page we could only find pictures of girls, aren't there any guys in the team?
There are guys, but we are too ugly to put our pictures online. HDM ladies are also champions and will go to Denmark.

6. Does your team have any weaknesses we could exploit?
The age. We are quickly tired and go to bed very early.

7. One player in BK is a quarter Dutch. How do you feel about playing against one of your own?
Oh, yes we know him, he takes bribes. He will help us, for sure.

8. How often has HDM won the Dutch championship?
HDM won in 2001 (small field), 2002, 2005 and 2008.

9. Which teams in the group are the strongest in your opinion?
Except the Danish team who should win the group, I have no idea of the levels of the PUC and BK as they never played international games. My guess is that the French team should be good as they have a lot of students coming from hockey nations.

10. If you will watch any of the other games in the group, will you be rooting for BK?
No, I personally will be for the french team of course!

11. Have you ever played floorball with wooden clogs on or with tulips instead of sticks?
Sounds an interesting variation, although I have never tried it so far. On the other hand, I played with a french baguette.

12. Have you ever heard of Björk of Sigur Rós? Don't you think they are just awesome?
I like some songs of Björk, but I won't risk taking a picture of her or requesting an interview. I have never heard of Sigur Rós. I've been once in Island and loved it, especially the bus trip from Landmannalaugar to Akureyri and the blond girls in the pubs, who were crazy about dark haired boys.
